Alesund, Norway

Thursday, September 4th

This morning we are going on a Celebrity excursion called "Path of the Trolls".  The description is as follows:
Overview: Trollstigen, also known as The Path of the Trolls, is a roadway that was literally blasted out of the mountainside. Whats even more impressive is where it takes you. Following 11 hairpin turns,
Path of the Trolls Road....looking down at the hairpin turns.  Sure glad we didn't rent a car and DIY!
View at the top of the Troll Road

We  crossed the Stigfoss Waterfall that drops 585 feet beneath you. Look up to see sheer peaks thrusting 600 feet skyward.

Watch out for the Troll......

This is a journey into Norways most dramatic landscape with mountains, valleys, rivers, gorges, and waterfalls at every turn.

Gudbrandsjuvet Waterfall

Follow the Path of the Trolls, a roadway into the mountains to enjoy remarkable views of the mountainous scenery. Visit the medieval Stordal Church, known for its rose paintings and beautiful frescos.

See captivating mountains including the Troll Wall, the highest vertical mountain wall in Europe, measuring 1500 feet high.

Many people lost their life's parachuting off this wall.  It is no longer allowed.

OUR SEND OFF FROM ALESUND ........

Another very good day!  Tomorrow is our last stop on this cruise.  Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will continue.
